❤️ Gratitude for Our Volunteers, Supporters, and Staff ❤️It’s been a challenging month for our community. With SNAP benefits paused, more families than ever have turned to us for help putting food on the table. And now, with a cold weather snap moving in, we’re opening our Cold Weather Shelter over the next two nights to ensure no one has to sleep outside in the cold.Through it all, our incredible volunteers, supporters, and staff have stepped up once again, serving meals, sorting donations, offering warmth, and showing compassion in action.Because of YOU, we’ve been able to help more people through these difficult days. 💛A special thank you to WESH 2 News for helping share our story and shed light on the urgent needs in our community. From all of us at the Neighborhood Center, thank you for being the heart of this community and standing with us when it matters most.#ThankYouVolunteers #CommunityStrong #EndHunger #EndHomelessness #NeighborhoodCenterWV ... Our Empty Bowls of West Volusia - 7th Annual Event was a big success! We are so grateful to our generous soup providers and sponsors who made this event possible, and to the 500+ community members and volunteers who joined together raising money for the community members who need it most! All proceeds from this event will go to Feed the Hungry at a time when 68k Volusia County residents have not received their much needed benefits that contribute to putting food on their tables. We are proud to support the West Volusia Community and to call all of you our neighbors!❤️"Bowled over by generosity"— A long line of guests stretches outside the DeLand High School cafeteria as hungry supporters wait for the doors to open at the 7th Annual Empty Bowls fundraiser. The sold-out event drew hundreds of residents eager to enjoy soup, claim a hand-crafted bowl, and help fill more than stomachs in the fight against hunger and homelessness in West Volusia. ...
