On New Year’s Day, the Association of Recovering Motorcyclists and Volusia Recovery Alliance kicked off 2026 by wrapping our community in compassion. 🧥🖤Through their coat and blanket giveaway, they brought warmth, dignity, and joy to individuals facing some of life’s hardest moments. This is what recovery looks like in action, showing up, giving back, and lifting others as we move into a new year together.Thank you for reminding us that hope can be felt, sometimes as simply as a warm coat on a cold day. @volusiarecoveryalliance ... As we step into a new year, we’re taking with us a powerful reminder: "joy is found in giving".This Christmas, our Hearts of Joy, Adopt-a-Household program was made possible through the incredible generosity of our community. Because of you, our clients received gifts to open for Christmas—a moment of hope, dignity, and love that will carry far beyond the holiday season. In total, 147 individuals were served, including: * 23 families with 46 children *30 Bridge shelter clients *5 families in emergency shelter*12 GAP clientsNeeds and wishes were gathered in advance—ranging from eyeglasses, food, and hygiene items to furniture, bikes, laptops, and gift cards. And once again, our community answered the call, providing nearly everything requested. We are deeply thankful for every person who gave, shopped, wrapped, delivered, and supported this effort. This was a meaningful undertaking—over 35 donors matched with clients, each gift thoughtfully chosen and given with care. This reel highlights just a few of the donors we were able to capture, but every single act of generosity made a difference. As we begin a new year, we do so full of gratitude and inspired by what’s possible when a community comes together. Thank you for helping us start the year with hearts full of joy. 💝✨ #HeartsofJoy #aplacewithaheart #HolidayMagic #newyear2026 ... See MoreSee Less
