STEPS Program (Sobriety Treatment & Employment Program for Success)

The STEPS Program is a specialized recovery initiative providing a supportive environment for eight individuals dedicated to maintaining their sobriety. This six-month program is structured into three distinct phases, designed to help participants rebuild essential life skills, develop healthy money management habits, and learn effective coping strategies. Our goal is to address the unique challenges of recovery to support a successful and independent reintegration into society.

Who We Serve

We serve unhoused adults who are struggling to maintain sobriety and are seeking the structure necessary to manage independent living conditions.

  • 6-Month Structured Program: A time-bound commitment to personal growth.
  • Three-Phase Progress: A tiered approach that grants more independence as milestones are met.
  • Case Management: Individualized support to navigate resources and set goals.
  • Supportive Treatment & Counseling: Access to the emotional and mental health tools needed for long-term recovery.
  • Financial Budgeting: Hands-on guidance to build savings and manage expenses.
  • Transitional Housing Assistance: Support in finding and securing permanent housing upon program completion.

Client Requirements

To be eligible for the STEPS program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be 18 years of age or older.
  • Have a documented history of substance abuse.
  • Commit to attending all required meetings and recovery sessions.
  • Consent to regular drug and alcohol testing.
  • Possess verifiable income or demonstrate the ability to obtain verifiable income within 30 days of entry.
  • Submit regular paystubs and/or bank statements for financial monitoring.
  • Adhere to all program rules, including curfew and strict sign-in/out procedures.
