Wiffle ball is a leisurely sport that requires speed, agility, and a good sense of humor. And, on July 13, it also requires a heart for helping others.
Families, friends, businesses and communities are invited to form teams and join in the fun of the 4th Annual Wiffle Ball Tournament to benefit The Neighborhood Center of West Volusia. The event will take place from 8 a.m. to (approximately) noon, Saturday, July 13, at Stetson University. All ages are welcome and encouraged to participate. (See flyer below.)
Each team must have at least five players, and teams are available through sponsorships, which range from $300 – $600. (See sponsorship options below.) Register and make a sponsorship commitment today: https://tinyurl.com/wiffleball19 Sponsorships involve varying marketing benefits:
- Triple Play Sponsor: $300 (event-day marketing & one 5-person team)
- Grand Slam Sponsor: $400 (online and event-day marketing & one 5-person team)
- World Series Sponsor: $600 (online and event-day marketing & two 5-person teams)
Registered players will receive lunch and refreshments during the event. Winning teams from in the competitive and fun brackets win trophies. The tournament is round-robin format. Here’s an example of the Wiffle Ball Game Rules we will be using.
Proceeds from the event benefit Homeless Youth Program (HYP) of The Neighborhood Center of West Volusia. The Neighborhood Center’s HYP program provides housing and mentoring to young men ages 18-24, guiding them through positive decision making and into permanent housing. The Neighborhood Center staff walk alongside the youth as they experience difficult times and support, and encourage and strengthen them as they find opportunities to belong and become productive members of society.
