Wiffle ball tournament to benefit The Neighborhood Center May 19

Wiffle ball isn’t for wimps! It’s a leisurely sport that requires speed, agility, and a good sense of humor. And, on May 19, it also requires a heart for helping others.

Families, friends, businesses and communities are invited to form teams and join in the fun of the Third Annual Wiffle Ball Tournament to benefit The Neighborhood Center of West Volusia. The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 19, at Rinker Field at Stetson University 421 N. Woodland Blvd., DeLand. All ages are welcome and encouraged to participate.

Each team must have at least five players, and the entry fee is $125 per team. Sponsorships ranging from $600 – $200 also are available.

Proceeds from the event benefit Rapid Rehousing Programs of The Neighborhood Center of West Volusia.

Registered players will receive lunch at the event, and spectator lunches will be available for purchase.

To register your team, become a sponsor and/or receive more information, contact Richard Prescott at RichardMPrescott@gmail.com or 386-804-5274.
